Yeah, we know.

We played the game. Good jobs, good schools, “safe neighborhoods” with decorative rock mulch borders and beige siding as far as the eye can see. We crushed it, right?

Now we’re burning $5-a-gallon gas driving our kids to playdates THREE HOUSES AWAY in SUVs while the planet bakes like a Totino’s pizza on your dashboard.

And all the while, we pretend like our chemically sterilized, HOA-approved lawns are somehow normal.

Spoiler alert: They’re not. They’re a freaking wasteland.

And here’s the kicker—we already wrecked 99% of the tallgrass prairie. Like total clowns. All that biodiversity? Gone. Paved over for Eno Vino and two-car garages.
